PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make excellence in usability while keeping an authentication function with high security in an automatic transaction device. SOLUTION: An automatic transaction device 1 comprises a card unit 18 for reading information stored in a card and writing information in the card; an inputting unit 15 for inputting transaction information; a biometrics information reading unit 22 for reading biometrics information; and a control unit conducting biometrics information authentication processing and transaction processing, based on the information read by the card unit 18, on the transaction information inputted from the inputting unit 22, and on the biometrics information read by the reading unit 22. The control unit includes a meas for authenticating the biometrics information read by the reading unit 22; a means for outputting the authenticated biometrics information to the card unit 18, by associating the biometrics information with the transaction information inputted from the input unit 15; and a means for conducting transaction processing, based on the transaction information associated with the biometrics information read by the card unit 18 and on the biometrics information read by the reading unit 22.
