PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain original data. SOLUTION: An image processing system comprises an image data accumulating means for accumulating data forming an image, an image reading means for converting contents of a paper document to the image with a photoelectric conversion, a zone identifying means for identifying a part or the whole of a read image, an image compression means for compressing the read image and generating compressed data, an image data searching means for searching similar image data from the accumulating means against the identified zone, and an information adding means for adding searched results corresponding to the identified zone to the compressed data as related image information.
