PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display, a method of manufacturing the same, and an apparatus for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The method includes a step for forming an electric field generating electrode on a substrate and a step for forming an inorganic alignment layer on the substrate by using atmospheric pressure plasma. Consequently, the process can be simplified by omitting the step of etching a pad section and a short circuiting section. Also, the inorganic alignment layer can be formed on the main substrate for the liquid crystal display with various configurations by using a single apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
