PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner binder excellent in transparency and heat resistant preservability. SOLUTION: The toner binder comprises a polyester resin (A) obtained by ring opening polymerization of a cyclic ester (b) to an active hydrogen compound (a), wherein the polyester resin (A) has a haze value of 0.1-40. Alternatively, the toner binder comprises a polyester resin (A) obtained by ring opening polymerization of a cyclic ester (b) to an active hydrogen compound (a), wherein the polyester resin (A) has a light transmittance of 90-100%.
