OPTICAL CONNECTING COMPONENT ASSEMBLING METHOD, CONNECTING COMPONENT, AND OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method suitable for coupling an optical connecting component to an optical fiber in the place where an optical connector is used. SOLUTION: In the method for assembling the optical connecting component in which an optical fiber 6 is fixed by using an adhesive and a hardener 51 in a fixing hole 3a of the optical connecting component, the hardener 51 is deposited on the inner wall face of the fixing hole 3a. Consequently, the hardener can be made ready in a number of regions in the inner wall face of the fixing hole 3a. Even if the surface of the optical fiber 6 is of a material to easily repel the hardener, a sufficient adhesive strength is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
