摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple internal combustion engine not requiring a space and provide a partial cylinder operation control device capable of increase degree of activation of a second catalyst by perturbation control by the control device in the internal combustion engine provided with an exclusive first catalyst provided in an exhaust pipe for each multiple cylinder groups and a second catalyst provided in a downstream of the first catalyst. SOLUTION: This partial cylinder operation control device stops operation of one cylinder group when estimated oxygen storage quantity of the second catalyst provided in the exhaust pipe of one cylinder group gets to a predetermined value or less during all cylinder operation, and restarts operation of one cylinder group and simultaneously stops operation of another cylinder group after predetermined time elapses, and stop and restart of operation of each cylinder group is executed alternately by a predetermined number of times.
