PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll fluid machine for eliminating a useless space between laps by improving a rotational balance while improving lap strength. SOLUTION: A first scroll unit 10 has a pair of end plates 12 and 15 rotatably supported by a housing 3 and a plurality of spiral first lap groups 13 fixed between both these end plates and uniformly arranged at a predetermined central angle. A second scroll unit 20 is composed of a cylindrical outer peripheral ring part 21 slidably sandwiched between the pair of end plates of the first scroll unit, a connecting block part 23 arranged in a substantially central part and a plurality of spiral second lap groups 22 forming a compression space 40 by defining a plurality of insertion spaces 26 for inserting the first lap groups by extending over the connecting block part from the cylindrical outer peripheral ring part.
