PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the conventional buddhist alter, carrying no antemortem image, has a difficulty in visualizing a figure of an ancestor in mind and makes the affection of recalling a succession of the ancestors fade away. SOLUTION: One or more antemortem images (photographs or the like) of one or more successional ancestors are applied to an upper part or a door of the buddhist alter to make a structure enable the performance of a mass by visualizing the figures of the ancestors daily and the images of the ancestors such as the photographs or the like are made to be bright by the illumination. An image board 6 is fixed to both sides of the buddhist alter and above an upper beam 5 of the buddhist alter of the pith buddhist alter 1 and the structure is made to fix the images of the ancestors 4 in a condition of free mounting and dismounting. An image protecting board, the images of the ancestors 4 and a back fixing board are inserted in the image board 6. The image board 6 is fixed to be opened by a hinge and the images of the ancestors 4 are mounted and dismounted by opening the same.
