PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anyone to measure skin characters precisely by putting a sensor probe at a right angle to the skin surface automatically. SOLUTION: In a skin character measuring instrument 1 where the sensor probe 2 for detecting the skin characters such as the elasticity, oil, moisture, temperature of the skin by pressing the sensor probe 2 to the skin surface S is provided at the distal end of an instrument main body 3, a guide surface G orthogonal to the pressing direction of the sensor probe 2 is formed at the sensor probe 2, and the sensor probe 2 is connected with the instrument main body 3 by spherical surface contact while the sensor probe 2 is inclinable forward/backward and to the right and left sides.
