PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing device for a vehicle to carry out strong deodorization only when there is certainly nobody indoor. SOLUTION: This deodorizing device 1 for the vehicle has a fan 3 to blow out air indoor, an ozone generator 4 to blow off ozone to the air from the fan 3, an operation part 5 capable of selecting either of a normal deodorizing mode and an unmanned deodorizing mode (strong deodorizing mode), an occupant detection means 6 to detect that there is nobody indoor and a controller 10 to control operation of the fan 3 and the ozone generator 4, carries out a strong deodorizing action when the occupant detection means 6 detects that there is nobody indoor and carries out a normal deodorizing action when there is a man indoor, and at least an infrared sensor 24 is used as the occupant detection means 6.
