PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely useful barrier film improving not only the effect on a base material film when a membrane layer comprising an inorganic oxide is formed on one side of the base material film to prevent the change such as yellowing or the like thereof but also the adhesion strength or the like with the membrane layer composed of the base material film and the inorganic oxide, excellent in barrier properties preventing the permeation of an oxygen gas, steam or the like, reduced in the deterioration of its barrier properties even if exposed to physical stress such as stretching, flexing, wiping, etc. and excellent in transparency, and a laminated material using it. SOLUTION: A vapor deposition polymer film comprising polyparaxylene is provided on one side of the base material film and the barrier membrane layer comprising the inorganic oxide is further provided on the vapor deposition polymer film comprising polyparaxylene.
