An open circuit detecting method in a battery terminal of a vehicle is provided to notify a driver of an open circuit of a wiring by sensing the open circuit of the wiring connected to the battery terminal. An open circuit detecting method in a battery terminal of a vehicle comprises the steps of: measuring a voltage outputted from a generator(ST10); measuring that the voltage is over a maximum or minimum value of a reference voltage(ST20); repeating the previous step a certain number of times(ST50); judging that the number of maximum or minimum value measuring times is more than a certain number of times(ST70); repeatedly performing measurement of the previous step for a certain number of times(ST90); and warning a driver if the number of measurement times is more than a certain number of times(ST100).
