<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating island having a planting base surrounded with a float and designed to afford entrance and exit of water in and outside the float. <P>SOLUTION: The artificial floating island 10 is provided with the float 20 and a submersible float 30 in the upper and lower sides at a prescribed interval kept therebetween. The planting base 40 is placed in a cage composed of a hard net 31a as a support 31 and the cage is mounted on the submersible float 30. For example, when the surface of the planting base 40 is set so as to be coincident with the top end of the submersible float 30, water on the surface of the planting base 40 can be exchanged through the space between the float 20 and the submersible float 30 with the surrounding water partitioned with the float 20 to prevent a sudden change in water temperature by the constitution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
