<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which cogging torque can be reduced without deteriorating the performance even in case of a rotary electric machine having a wide slot opening or uneven slot opening, and to provide an electric wheelchair equipped with that rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: In an electric motor 12 comprising a stator 21 having a plurality of teeth 48 with a coil wounded therearound and a stator yoke core 47 connecting between the teeth 48, and a rotor 22 having magnets 34 arranged oppositely to the teeth 48 through a gap C, a protrusion 48e is provided substantially at the central portion in the circumferential direction of the stator on the surface 48d of the teeth 48 opposing the magnet 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
