<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for scheduling data retransmissions, a method for use in a data retransmission, and a method for updating a soft buffer of a base station in a mobile communication system during a soft handover; and to provide a base station executing a method of a control and an update, a communication terminal executing the scheduling method, and a mobile communication system comprising at least one base station and communication terminal. <P>SOLUTION: To prevent erroneous combining of data packets in a packet retransmission at a receiver, a method is provided that erases a soft buffer region associated to a received data packet upon a correct reception. Further, a method is provided that monitors the time elapsed since the last storing of a data packet in a buffer region of a base station to initiate the erasure of the buffer region upon expiry of a threshold time period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
