摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method capable of preventing surge type overvoltage during upward movement of an AC electric vehicle pantograph. SOLUTION: This control apparatus for upward movement of the AC electric vehicle pantograph raises a collector shoe by operating a key attaching/detaching device 73. A pneumatic cylinder device 72 for lowering is operated before bringing a slide plate into contact with a trolley line, the collector shoe is lowered, and the key attaching/detaching device 73 is operated to engage a key hook 73a with an adjacency of a ceiling hinge 55, then the key attaching/detaching device 73 is operated again during the period that compressed air remains in a cylinder 72a of the pneumatic cylinder device 72 for lowering to remove the engaged key hook 3a, the rising speed of the slide plate is regulated by a spring force of a main spring 71 and a damping effect of the air remaining in the cylinder, thus regulating the surge type overvoltage which is transmitted to the vehicle body by a contact between the slide plate and the trolley line.
