PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a program selection time and to attain the simplification of operating processes. SOLUTION: This program browsing system is applied in an electronic device having a display unit for playing video, and includes at least: a processing unit; an input unit electrically connected to the processing unit for allowing a user to input a display picture switching command and a channel selecting command, and sending the commands to the processing unit; an intercepting module electrically connected to the processing unit for intercepting program contents of a plurality of channels when the processing unit receives a command which is a multi-picture display command from the input unit; and a storage unit.
