PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device wherein a projected amount of a decoration plate from a wall face can comparatively be decreased. SOLUTION: A unit body 1 is fixed to a switch box SB by using fitting screws in a form that the rear part of the unit body 1 is contained in the switch box SB for a recessed type wiring fixture. The unit body 1 comprises a box shaped body with an opening in its front side and a cover 3 to be covered on the front face of the body 2. The body 2 includes fitting plates 10 each being extended in directions apart from each other from the circumferential edge of the opening. Each fitting plate 10 is formed with box holes 11 to which a fitting screw is inserted, and with plate holes 13 for fixing the decoration plate P of a recessed type wiring fixture. The cover 3 is covered on the body 2 by overlapping a superposition piece 14 on part of the fitting plates 10 at a base side so that the cover 3 is contained in a window hole Ph opened to the decoration plate P in a way that the height of the front end face from the wall face Ws is flush with the height of the circumferential edge of the window hole Ph of the decoration plate P from the wall face Ws.
