PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directivity variable antenna operable even at a several GHz band with nearly the same size as that of an omnidirectional antenna that can be operated at a frequency band lower than that of a prior art. SOLUTION: The directivity variable antenna is provided with capacitors 8 for connecting an outer conductor 10 of a coaxial line 4 to ground in terms of a high frequency through a short-circuit line 7 formed of a conductor pattern on a dielectric film 9 formed on a ground plate 3 of the omnidirectional antenna element and the grounding position of the short-circuit line 7 at the side of the outer conductor 10 in terms of a high frequency is configured to be located on the ground plate 3 apart from the outer conductor 10 when viewed from a coaxial center axis of the coaxial line 4.
