PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane switch capable of preventing intrusion of cutting fluid etc. and ensuring a switching operation without increasing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: Two flexible substrates 1, 2 are laminated through resists 5, 6 to constitute the membrane switch. The resist 6 having oil resistance and bonded with heat is used in peripheral edge parts of the flexible substrates 1, 2 and the resist 5 bonded with heat is used inside. A spacer between the two flexible substrates 1, 2 is formed with the thickness of each of the resists. In a contact electrode part area, the resist 5 is not applied but a space 7, and can be contacted by a contact electrode. Since the spacer is not required and a special mold is not required when bonding, the manufacturing cost is reduced. Since the central parts of the flexible substrates 1, 2 are not bonded, on/off operation of the contact electrode can surely be performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
