PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mounting a safety device on the existing building electric shutter on which the safety device preventing the falling of a shutter curtain is not mounted and to provide a building electric shutter mounting the safety device thereon. SOLUTION: A first follower rotational member 18 for a take-up shaft driving rotation fixed to the end section shaft 16 of a take-up shaft 4, a rotation regulating member 17 regulating a shaft rotation with the end shaft 16 and the first follower rotational member 18 are removed, and a two-step rotational member 34 formed by integrally fixing the first follower rotational member 18 and a second follower rotational member 35 receiving operational force of the safety device, a rotation regulating member 38 for regulating the shaft rotation with the two step rotational member 34 and the end section shaft 16 and an operational force transmitting means 39 for transmitting the operational force of the safety device 11 are mounted between the second follower rotational member 35 and the safety device 11.
