PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of reliably and manually feeding paper sheets of smaller size such as postal cards. SOLUTION: The paper feeder 30 has a manual paper feed unit 40 for manually feeding paper sheets P into a device body 11 of a printer 10. The manual paper feed unit 40 comprises a manual feed tray 61 for guiding the manual feed of the paper sheets P, and a pair of cursors 63 provided on the manual feed tray 61 and capable of performing the forward/reverse movement to/from the paper sheet width direction orthogonal to the paper sheet conveying direction according to the width of the paper sheets P.
