PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy curing ink jet recorder excellent in productivity in which high definition drawing can be carried out by preventing a foreign substance such as dust or paper powder from adhering to the vicinity of the nozzle in an ink jet head. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises a means for irradiating active energy, an ink jet head ejecting ink which can be cured with active energy irradiated by the active energy irradiation means toward a recording medium, wherein a means for conveying the recording medium to a position opposing the ink jet head is further provided with a pressure regulation means for sustaining the pressure in the ink jet recorder higher than the pressure on the outside of the ink jet recorder.
