PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping material having excellent damping properties and lightweight properties, especially a damping material which can appropriately be used in an application requiring lightweight properties. SOLUTION: The damping material A, in which a foamed adhesive layer C is laminated/integrated on/with one surface of a metal sheet B, is excellent in damping properties, especially in a low frequency region, lightweight properties, and construction properties and can appropriately be used, for example, in cars and railway vehicles. In addition, since the metal sheet is incorporated in the damping material A, it has a reduced rate of dimensional change by heating even at high temperatures and is excellent in heat resistance.
