PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a device to deal with the speed-up of straightening work and also to prevent the generation of scratch to the outer surface of a bar-like material after straightening. SOLUTION: Each conveying roller 20 has a truncated conical shape the outside diameter of which is gradually increased according to approach the side of a first side wall member 14 from the side of a second side wall member 16. The placing surface of a supporting member 30 which is arranged between respective conveying rollers 20 is set so that the side of the first side wall member 14 is higher than the the outer peripheral surface of the conveying roller 20 and the side of the second side wall member 16 is lower than the outer peripheral surface of the conveying roller 20 on the assumption that the bar-like material S moves transversely to the side of the first side wall member 14 by its own rotation. Then, the bar-like material S in straightening which is delivered from a straightening machine moves transversely to the side of the upper end of inclination by its own rotation and runs on to the placing surface of the supporting member 30. The bar-like material S subjected to the straightening work is slipped down to the side of the lower end of the inclination because rotation is not imparted and moves to the conveying roller 20.
