摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a supporting member of a lithographic plate that does not cause unevenness in a surface treatment, and is excellent in the homogeneity of the electrochemical roughening treatment. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the supporting member of the lithographic plate comprises a step of filtering molten aluminum, a step of supplying the molten aluminum to a molten metal supply nozzle, a step of continuous casting for forming an aluminum alloy plate by supplying the molten aluminum between a pair of cooling rollers via the molten metal supply nozzle, a step of cold rolling, a step of intermediate annealing, a step of finish cold rolling, and a step of roughing treatment, wherein an agitating means employed in the step for supplying the molten aluminum agitates the molten aluminum existing in a required region. The molten aluminum contains 95 mass% or more of Al, 30 to 5,000 ppm of Fe, 300 to 2,000 ppm of Si, and 1 to 500 ppm of Cu, and the aluminum alloy plate after the finish cold rolling contains 20 ppm or more of dissolved Fe, 20 ppm or more of dissolved Si, and 70 mass% or more of dissolved Cu with respect to the total Cu.
