PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable window louver capable of being opened and closed when needed and improving efficiency of fire extinguishing work. SOLUTION: The movable window louver comprises: a window louver main body 20 provided with a plurality of blades 19 turnably pivoted at prescribed intervals, support arms 22 fixed to the respective blades 19 and a connecting rod 23 to which the support arms 22 are pivoted and which is movable between the open position and closed position of the blades 19; a gas cylinder 24 for turning the blades 19 to the open position and the closed position; a spring member 27 for energizing the blades 19 in a closing direction; a fuse metal 29 for holding the blades 19 at the open position against the energizing force; a connecting member 25 for connecting a piston rod 24a and the window louver main body 20 through the fuse metal 29; and an engaging member 26 constituted so as to connect the piston rod 24a when the piston rod 24a is extended to the window louver main body 20 in a closed state between the window louver main body 20 and the piston rod 24a.
