<p>A system and method for providing pre-need funeral services that enables a consumer to select a funeral plan and servicing funeral home, within a desired budget, through a website service or associated telephonic system. Following subscription to a service plan, the consumer will be provided with a debit card or SMART card technology from which funeral plan payments may be made, and through which access to the funeral plan may be provided. The present system seeks to maintain a database of all purchased funeral plans and arrangements, so as to facilitate consumer requests for modification to, and/or updating of, existing polices, wherein such modifications will be readily available through the SMART card technology.</p> |
