A field emission display apparatus and a fabricating method thereof are provided to prevent effectively diode emission and increase the amount of electrons emitted from emitter electrodes by forming a plurality of emitter electrodes having a ring shape. A gate insulating layer(130) and a gate electrode(140) are formed on a rear substrate(110) having a cathode electrode(120). A plurality of gate holes are formed by etching the gate electrode and the gate insulating layer. A plurality of ring-shaped emitter electrodes(150a,150b) are formed within the gate holes in order to be electrically connected with the cathode electrode on the rear substrate.
