<p num="1"><br/><br/><br/>Cross blends of synthetic ester base stocks are produced from high viscosity <br/>synthetic ester base stocks having a viscosity from about iso 120 to 140 and <br/>conventional synthetic ester base stocks of varying viscosities to form base <br/>stocks having viscosities from about iso 68 to iso 220. Lubricants formed from <br/>the cross blends have sufficient miscibility with HFC refrigeration fluids <br/>with minimal use of i-C9 carboxylic acids to form the ester.<br/>
