<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control delivery quantity by simply and accurately performing correction of inclination direction of apply current-delivery quantity characteristics of a suction regulation valve and absorbing variation of characteristics due to difference of devices and deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: ECU 3 stores I-Q characteristics of a median pump as reference characteristics for correcting quantity regulation characteristics of the suction regulation valve 6 of the fuel supply pump 4 beforehand, detects actual applied current values I1', I2' at a balanced pressure point when a specific common rail pressure P1 is changed to P2, and calculates reference applied current values I1, I2 on the reference characteristic line which are the values originally balanced on the balanced pressure point. Rotary component θ which is to be correction quantity is calculated with using difference ΔW between area surrounded by the actual applied current values I1', I2' and the reference characteristic line and area surrounded by the reference applied current values I1, I2 and the reference characteristic line as an index value. Correction in the inclination direction is performed by performing rotation conversion of the reference characteristic line with using rotary component θ. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
