<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content editing device or the like capable of preventing advertisement effects of CMs from being reduced even when reproducing a content with CMs received from a content distribution device or the like after shifting it to a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A producer imparts editing information for each performance level to a content. Consequently, the editing information is specified at a performance level of a reproducing device in a receiver. The content for the reproducing device is generated by converting the data of the content corresponding to the performance level after editing the content with the editing information. By this, the producer can reflect his/her intention in the content for the reproducing device.
