<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively ensure high security by performing net-type time correction with a Net-connected computer, which is accompanied by risks via the Internet such as a failure of a host, net interruption at the time of a disaster, inaccessibility of a time server in an Internet network, by utilizing a Japan long-wave band standard wave (JJY) by the use of a long electric wave, moreover receiving independent JJY signals equal in number to computers, and performing time control. <P>SOLUTION: This time information update device for computers includes a means for receiving the standard electric wave for correcting a time difference by a time decision element of each computer and obtaining accurate reference time information, a means for connecting the reference time information via an interface for the computer, and a means for judging whether or not it is necessary to correct the time information of the computer by comparing the time information with the reference time information, and updates the time information of the computer on the basis of the reference time information when the correction is judged to be unnecessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
