<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a shaft seal device to an opened type compressor capable of assembling the shaft seal device to the compressor without damaging a seal face of the shaft seal device and a seal face of a rotary shaft. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical body composed of a soft film is inserted into the shaft seal device, and the cylindrical body is fitted on the outside of an end of the rotary shaft of the compressor.
