PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processing method and device and a storage medium that can extract a subject appropriately from an image and can synthesize the extracted image with another image without lowering the image quality, even if the boundary of the subject in the image is obscure. SOLUTION: Image data including first image data on a first subject and second image data on a second subject different from the first subject or on the background is stored. Distribution information representing the probability of each pixel data being included in the first image data is stored about at least a part of the first image data.
