摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifier element using a compound of a single layer carbon nanotube (SWNT) and a porphyrin compound. SOLUTION: The element obtained as a result of measurement functions as a rectifier device. Namely, the rectifier element is formed of an electrode 1, the carbon nanotube 2 having one or not more than five fluxes, an annular plane organic molecule havingπelectrons whose molecular weight is 400 to 1,000 or an aggregate 3 of them, and an electrode 4. The electrode 1 is brought into contact with the carbon nanotube 2. The annular plane organic molecules or the aggregate 3 of them is adsorbed to the surface of the carbon nanotube 2. The annular plane organic molecules or the aggregate 3 of them is brought into contact with the electrode 4.
