PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily manufacturing a weather strip for an automobile having an embedded thermoplastic resin core material. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the weather strip 1 for the automobile having the embedded thermoplastic resin core material, a core single body 3 of the core material 2 of an approximately U shaped cross section pre-divided formed and made of thermoplastic resin is sequentially supplied from a feeder 10 to an extruder 20, and a predetermined shaped weather strip 1 is formed by sequentially embedding the core single body 3 in a molded material extrusion-molded by the extruder 20.
