PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker microphone connection cable fixing arrangement for a portable radio device capable of easily fixing a speaker microphone connection cable to the portable radio device without using any tools, while having no enlarged projection from the body of the portable radio device. SOLUTION: In the fixing arrangement, a slide lock 6 supported sliding free and energized with a spring 7 is provided near one side of a body side connector 1a arranged at a body 1 of a portable radio device, wherein a cable side connector 3a is inserted and fixed to the body side connector 1a. A hook 5 is provided near the another side of the body side connector 1a. A stem 4 engaged to the hook 5 and a claw 3b engaged and fixed to the slide lock 6 are provided at a connector body 3. When the stem 4 is engaged and fixed to the hook 5 and a connector body 1 is rotated around the stem 4, the claw 3b pushes the slide lock 6. While the claw 3b returns to the original position and the slide lock 6 carries out engaging of the claw 3b after the slide lock 6 resists elasticity of the spring 7 and retreats, the cable side connector 3a is inserted and fixed to the body side connector 1a.
