PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction system which reproduces video and audio suitably from an optical disk. SOLUTION: In the reproduction system, a program chain is reproduced using a program chain-program map and the number of streams of sub-image stream is acquired from video title set information in response to change input of the sub-image stream, and compared with the stream number of the change destination. If the stream number is smaller than the acquired number of streams, the stream number of changed destination is compared with sub-image stream number which can be used in the program chain concerned in the program chain sub-image stream control, and if the stream number of the change destination is usable, the sub-image stream is taken out by the change destination stream number concerned and the sub-image signal is outputted.
