PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera device capable of changing the incident direction of a subject image without changing the size of a camera body. SOLUTION: The camera device is equipped with: a camera body 1 being an almost rectangular parallelopiped; a lens barrel unit 30 provided at the upper part of the camera body 1; and a display monitor 7 rotatably supported in the camera body 1 by biaxial structure and displaying the subject image fetched in an imaging device. The lens barrel unit 30 is equipped with: a reflection mirror 3 arranged to freely advance/retreat on a predetermined optical axis so that the second subject image may be reflected toward a first lens group 2; and a slide cover 8 provided movably in a predetermined optical axis direction by the driving of a motor and having an almost U-shaped cross section. The slide cover 8 makes the reflection mirror 3 advance/retreat between a first photographing position where the reflection mirror 3 enters the predetermined optical axis and a second photographing position where it is retracted from the predetermined optical axis.
