PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of enlarging a low-temperature container and allowing articles to be easily loaded on shelves, as the low-temperature container becomes reduced in size in a state of being pressed backward and reduced in its size, when a large and high article is stored in a door pocket of a lowermost portion formed on an inner side face of a front door of a refrigerating compartment when a storage container is drawably supported in a low-temperature compartment of the lowermost portion of the refrigerating compartment, the lower-temperature compartment and an upper article storage section are partitioned by the shelf, a projecting length to a front part of the shelf is limited so that it does not disturb the vertically long article stored in the door pocket, and the loading of the article on this shelf is limited. SOLUTION: A front opening of the refrigerating compartment is opened and closed by a rotary door, the inside of refrigerating compartment is vertically divided by the shelves of several stages to define article storage sections, the inner side face of the rotary door is provided with the door pocket largely projecting in a state of intruding into one of the article storage sections, and the article storage container is stored in one of the article storage sections not corresponding to the door pocket drawably in the cross direction.
