PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel support bearing assembly in which an inner ring is prevented from coming off in the process of installation into a vehicle without having any adverse effect on the function of a bearing, and capable of reducing increase of processes. SOLUTION: The wheel support bearing assembly includes an outer member 1, an inner member 2, and rows of rolling elements 5, and the inner member 2 comprises a hub ring 9 having a wheel mounting hub flange 9a on an outer periphery and a through hole 11 in a center, and an inner ring 10 fitted to an outer periphery of an inboard side end of the hub ring 9, and a step 16 having a depth in correspondence with an inner peripheral edge of an end surface 10a is provided. A plastically deformed portion 9c by caulking of the hub ring 9 is fitted to the step 16 of the inner ring 10. The plastically deformed portion 9c does not protrude from the end surface 10a of the inner ring 10. The whole of the inner ring 10 from a surface to a core is hardened by quenching, and an axially oriented surface 16b in an inner surface of the step 16 of the inner ring 10 is a machined surface machined before quenching.
