PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low temperature liquefied gas storage tank having a reduced weight during transportation to allow the transportation on a public road while minimizing a manufacturing cost increase. SOLUTION: The low temperature liquefied gas storage tank 11 comprises an inner tank 12 for storing low temperature liquefied gas, and an outer tank 14 provided on the outside of the inner tank via a heat insulating layer 13. The outer tank is divided into an outer tank lower member 16 and an outer tank upper member 17, and a pipe 15 communicated with the inner tank is concentrated on the lower side of the inner tank and held by a pipe holding member 18. The outer tank lower member has a pipe through-hole 17a in which the pipe holding member is mounted. The inner tank is placed on the upper part of the outer tank lower member at a tank installation site. The pipe holding member is mounted in the pipe through-hole to form the inner tank and the outer tank lower member in one unit, and the outer tank upper member is assembled on the upper part of the outer tank lower member formed in one unit with the inner tank and joined thereto in one unit.
