PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wear of a roller and a supporting shaft in a rocker arm in which a cam and the roller separate temporarily, by securing lubricability at a contact position of the roller and the supporting shaft in a valve opening period. SOLUTION: The rocker arm for an engine is structured to include the supporting shaft 7 fixed to a rocker arm main body and a roller 8 idly fitted with a space in between to the supporting shaft 7, and contacts a cam 3 provided on a cam shaft of the engine with the roller 8. The supporting shaft 7 is provided with a first induction passage for inducing lubricating oil of the engine from an opening part 24 to a space 22' on one side with a perpendicular plane including an axis Lc of the supporting shaft 7 as a border, and a second induction passage for inducing the lubricating oil of the engine from an opening part 25 to a space 22 on the other side with the perpendicular plane including the axis Lc as the border.
