PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily respond even to a suddenly changing demand in water quantity by stably controlling water purification treatment by effectively utilizing production capacity and a scale in a facility such as a purification plant. SOLUTION: This total treatment water quantity automatic control device 17 has a clean water reservoir angle-shaped linear planned value arithmetic operation means 10, a demand/water supply X time moving average water intake quantity arithmetic operation means 12, and a water level deviation conversion flow rate correction means 14. The clean water reservoir angle-shaped linear planned value arithmetic operation means 10 calculates a clean water angle-shaped linear planned water level 11 being an ideal clean water reservoir water level planned value planned on the basis of demand/water supply quantity processing data 9 with every 24 hours, constituted of simple two straight lines mutually inclining in the opposite direction and anticipating a demand quantity varying in response to the time without applying an excessive facility load due to sudden water level variation control.
