An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving radio data are provided to smoothly transmit mass data by transmitting a specific frame through one among plural channels, receiving a response frame for the specific frame through another channel, judging radio sensitivity, and controlling transmission parameters. An apparatus for transmitting and receiving radio data comprises a MAC(Media Access Control) unit(340), the first PHY(PHYsical) unit(350), the second PHY unit(360), and a parameter control part(370). The MAC unit(340) creates a data frame. The first PHY unit(350) transmits a radio signal for the data frame through the first channel. The second PHY unit(360) receives a control frame containing a sensitivity value for the radio signal through the second channel. The parameter control part(370) adjusts transmission parameters for the data frame transmitted through the first channel, based on the control frame.
