A process of preparing double coagulant toner is provided to reduce or eliminate requirement of filtrate/waste water, and decrease amount of the coagulant by forming a mixture of ionic salt component and organo-metallic coagulant component, cooling the mixture to produce toner particles and separating the toner particles from the mixture. The process comprises the steps of: preparing latex emulsion by adding first component containing ionic salt into a resin latex emulsion containing a coloring agent; forming a mixture by adding second component containing organo-metallic coagulant to the obtained latex emulsion while agitating at a temperature above glass transition temperature of the resin; generating toner particles by cooling the mixture to a temperature below the glass transition temperature; and separating the generated toner particles. The second component is zinc acetate.
