A mobile terminal and a method capable of linking to weather/traffic information are provided to enable a user to take precautions by linking with weather/traffic information, reflecting a change in situation, and announcing the state to the user. If weather/traffic information is received through an RF circuit part(S200), an analysis module stores it in a memory part temporarily, extracts time, estimated temperature, a traffic situation, etc., from the temporarily stored information, and stores the extracted information in an analysis information DB(S210). At this time, the analysis module confirms whether the extracted information contains an exceptional state(S220). In case that information about an exceptional state exists in the extracted information, the analysis module informs a control part of it. The control part changes the scheduled time, previously established at an announcement information DB(S230). Then the control part searches an RFID DB and recommends suitable things according to the exceptional situation(S240).
