<p>A punching die for manufacturing a holding seal member, and a method for manufacturing the holding seal member with the punching die are provided to improve durability of a punching blade in case of cutting the holding seal member by using a method of punching an inorganic fiber mat having a predetermined thickness. A punching die(11) includes a punching blade(13) with double edges, supported by a substrate(12) so as to punch an inorganic fiber mat for cutting a holding seal member. The punching blade includes two side surfaces, two tilt surfaces tilted with respect to the two side surface; and a cutting edge manufactured between the two tilt surfaces. The two tilt surfaces are tilted at same or different tilt angles.</p> |
