FIELD: medicine, clinical microbiology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a nutrient medium for isolating mycobacteria that contains sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium hydrogen phosphate, magnesium sulfate, sodium citrate, iron ammonium citrate, amino acid, agar-agar, glycerol, horse inactivated serum, dye malachite green and distilled water. Addition of alpha-aminoacetic acid and sodium pyruvate promotes to accelerating growth of mycobacteria with their homogenous distribution in nutrient medium. Horse serum inactivated at 56°C for 40 min decreases its inhibitory effect on mycobacteria. Bactericidal dye malachite green possesses the optimal effect on concomitant microflora but it doesn't delay of mycobacteria growth. Invention provides enhancing growth properties of nutrient medium, accelerates growth of mycobacteria that promotes to they detection for maximally short time.
